Govt trying to open talks with Baloch leaders, says Bizenjo
GWADAR: National Party president Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo said on Sunday that efforts were being made to initiate negotiations with self-exiled Baloch leaders, adding that the government had achieved considerable success in its move.
“The government is making efforts to bring the Baloch leaders back to the negotiating table under the Peaceful Balochistan plan,” he said while speaking to the media during a visit to Turbat. “Nawabzada Brahamdagh Bugti is ready for talks and coming back to the country,” said Senator Bizenjo, adding that they had not been able to get in touch with Dr Allah Nazar. He said the provincial government had succeeded in restoring the writ of the state which had not been there earlier. He claimed that the government had also succeeded in controlling corruption in the province.

According to Mr Bizenjo, the law and order situation was at its worst when the current coalition government took over in 2013 as the affairs of the province were out of control. He said that with efforts of the government, along with the security forces, the situation had improved a lot.
He claimed that insurgency had come to an end in most of the province except for a few areas.
In reply to a question, the senator said that he was hopeful about the success of National Party’s candidate Akram Dashti in the PB-50 Kech by-election.
