And the honors keep on coming. It's December, which means a deluge of awards groups and critics are hoisting the chalice to celebrate the year in the film, and on both coasts the votes were tallied and the triumphant victors announced.

The Los Angeles Film Critics Association did that voting-on-Twitter thing, but it has all been tabulated, and no single movie dominated. Rather, the group honored a diverse array of films, ranging from blockbusters ("Mad Max: Fury Road") to arthouse fare ("45 Years"), with runner-up prizes allowing them to tip their hat to a variety of films. While "Spotlight" took Best Film and Best Screenplay, "Mad Max: Fury Road" took the most prizes, winning Best Director, Best Cinematography, and Best Production Design.
