Bologna are focusing their efforts on signing Logan Costa to bolster their defensive line, but they have not completely ruled out the idea of bringing in Mats Hummels.
The club is actively working in the transfer market to find a replacement for Riccardo Calafiori. According to reports from Corriere dello Sport, Logan Costa from Toulouse has emerged as their primary target.
An agreement between the parties appears to be close, with Toulouse reportedly asking for €15 million.
A club insider told Corriere dello Sport, “Costa is seen as a promising addition to our backline. We are confident an agreement can be reached soon.”
While the focus is on Costa, Mats Hummels is still being considered as an alternative option.
An official from Bologna remarked, “Hummels brings experience and leadership, attributes we value highly.”
As the transfer window edges closer to its conclusion, Bologna are keen to finalise their defensive reinforcements and ensure they have a solid backline for the upcoming season.
