The film also starred Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah and others. It complete two years and Vijay celebrated it with a post on Instagram. However, his post left his fans worried. He posted an obituary for the character he played in the film. The post was a still from the film but it left fans worried. People got shocked to see RIP, Sad demise written below Vijay's photo.
Some did not like this way of celebrating two years of a film. Sharing the picture Vijay Varma wrote, "It's been two years since your beloved hamza left for jannat ki sari (went to heaven). Miss u Hamza darlings not. 2 years of #Darlings"
This left everyone worried and people asked him not to do such comedy. Vijay immediately understood and posted an apology in the comments section for his fans who have been worried. He wrote, "Sorry guys didn't mean to scare u. This is an actual screen grab from the film! Dark comedy banay thi toh post bhi.."
Darlings is jointly produced by Alia's Eternal Sunshine Productions and Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. This was Alia's production's first project.
