Janhvi Kapoor starrer Ulajh releases in theatres today. Directed by Sudhanshu Saria, the spy thriller also stars Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Mathew in the lead role. It is Janhvi's second release of 2024, after Mr & Mrs Mahi. Overall, the thriller marks Kapoor's ninth film as the lead star. The excitement and expectations are quite high from this one. On Thursday, a special screening was held in Mumbai and several celebrities attended it, including veteran actress Rekha.

Rekha rarely makes public appearances. So attending the screening of Ulajh for Janhvi Kapoor was quite a big deal. At the red carpet, the Umrao Jaan actress hugged Kapoor and also kissed her poster. Rekha's warm gesture has made netizens admire her kindness. In the comments, people commented on how she was good friends with Janhvi's mother, Sridevi.

Actress Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018 in Dubai due to accidental drowning in a bathtub. Janhvi Kapoor made her Bollywood debut in 2018 with Dhadak, which released on July 20, 2018. Sadly, the Mr India actress never got to see her daughter act in a movie.
Talking about Janhvi Kapoor, the actress has been signing some promising projects lately. After Ulajh, she will make her Tollywood debut with Siva Koratala's action film Devara: Part 1. The film also stars Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan and will release in theatres on September 27, 2024.
