ArmInfo. The European Parliament recognizes and welcomes the fact that Armenia has strongly emphasized its desire to enhance and prioritize relations with the European Union. This is stated in the letter of the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola to the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan.
"The newly agreed EU-Armenia partnership agenda, as well as the launching of a dialogue on visa liberalization with Armenia are clear signs of our enhanced relations," she noted. The politician expressed hope that the Armenian parliament will have the opportunity to resume its relations with the European Parliament's delegation for the South Caucasus countries after the latter's forthcoming constitutive meeting, when newly elected members take up their office. "I trust that this will provide a key forum for furthering inter-parliamentary cooperation," stressed Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament.
