In a new interview, the Jannat actor has now reacted to Tanushree Dutta's comments, who called their chemistry like 'brother-sister'.

Tanushree Dutta and Emraan Hashmi appeared in the 2005 romantic thriller Aashiq Banaya Aapne. In the title track, the duo shared steamy scenes together. An interview with ScoopWhoop questioned Emraan about the song's influence on an entire generation. In response, the Azhar actor asked if anyone had heard the quote from Tanushree Dutta a few weeks ago. Emraan isn't aware if it was a verbatim quote or not, but she felt it was like a brotherly chemistry. Hashmi wondered what briefing the director gave her and him. The actor stated that both had different narratives going on in their heads. He was never told it was the story about incest.
Emraan Hashmi's reaction comes a few weeks after Tanushree Dutta opened up about being judged for doing intimate scenes in movies. Dutta told Filmygyan how even the top actresses have done lovemaking and kissing scenes. However, they aren't judged for the same. But everyone has an issue with her doing such scenes. Tanushree stated how people judge her for wearing short skirts and doing intimate scenes. She said it's called acting, and there was nothing going on between her and Emraan Hashmi. Dutta went on to say how her and Emraan's chemistry is literally like brother and sister.
On the work front, Emraan Hashmi recently appeared in his second web series, Showtime. It's available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar. The actor appeared in two movies last year, Selfiee and Tiger 3. The latter starred Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. This year, Emraan appeared in the movie Ae Watan Mere Watan, an OTT movie that also starred Sara Ali Khan.
Further, Emraan Hashmi will be seen in the movie They Call Him OG. It will mark his debut in the Telugu film industry. Directed by Sujeeth, the gangster action thriller also stars Pawan Kalyan and Priyanka Mohan.
