Toyota Kirloskar Motor Wins Big at EEPC India Southern Region Export Award Ceremony

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has been recognized for its export achievements with two prestigious awards at the recent EEPC India (Engineering Export Promotion Council of India) Southern Region Export Award ceremony.

Double Recognition for Export Excellence

TKM secured the coveted:

• ‘Engines and Turbines & Parts Thereof’ – Large Enterprise’ award for 2019-20.
• ‘Gold Trophy’ for Top Exporters under the Merchant Exporter category for achieving Export Excellence in Engineering products in 2020-21.

These awards highlight TKM’s dedication to propelling India’s engineering exports sector forward, a crucial contributor to the nation’s overall manufacturing output.

Celebrating Outstanding Performance

The awards were presented at a ceremony held in Puducherry by esteemed dignitaries, including Shri Vimal Anand (Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, Government of India) and Shri Arun Kumar Garodia (Chairman, EEPC). The EEPC India plays a pivotal role in promoting Indian engineering exports and fostering a strong bridge between the government and the engineering community.

The EEPC Export Excellence Awards recognize outstanding achievements in various engineering export categories. Evaluations consider factors like the FOB (Freight on Board) value of exports, product diversity, and net foreign exchange generation. TKM demonstrated significant growth in engine exports (2019-20) and overall exports under the Merchant Exporter category (2020-21), encompassing both engines and various parts.
