The last Golmaal movie hit theaters seven years ago. In 2018, Rohit Shetty teased the audience with Golmaal 5 in the song Aankh Marey. Fans of the franchise want to know if Shetty is planning to make the fifth film or not. Well, the director has now answered the burning question, which will make the fans happy.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, the Singham director revealed that he indeed has plans to make Golmaal 5. However, there's still time. Rohit stated that the Golmaal series will keep happening, and it's not like he won't make the movie. The director asserts that he will continue to work on the franchise indefinitely. However, he needs time.
Additionally, the Sooryavanshi director stated that the Golmaal movie franchise is close to his heart. Rohit Shetty is proud of not only this comedy universe but also his cop franchise (Singham, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi). In the same interview, Rohit was asked if he had to replace any actor from Golmaal 3 with contestants from Khatron Ke Khiladi. The director clearly stated that his movie's team is irreplaceable, and he cannot even think of casting anyone else.
Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty has a big release this year: Singham Again. It's the third film from Ajay Devgn's Singham series. The third installment has an amazing ensemble cast: Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, and Tiger Shroff. Deepika Padukone has joined the cop universe as Shakti Shetty aka Lady Singham. It is her second collaboration with Rohit after Chennai Express (2013). The cop action thriller is all set to release in theatres on November 1, 2024.
