ArmInfo. The Ambassador of
France to Armenia Olivier Decotigny responded to a post by a Twitter user (X), who introduced himself as Kolya Kalajyan. The latter accused the French Embassy of selling visa reservations.
Kaladzhyan, reacting to the French ambassador's message that the EU Council approved the start of a dialogue with Armenia on visa liberalization in particular, wrote: "Taking into account the fact that visa appointment slots at the French Embassy are "sold" through travel agencies, and a person simply does not can apply for a visa on his own and without the support of an illegal business, this is just a very ridiculous statement."
Decotigny's answer was not long in coming. The French Ambassador reminded that registration for a visa is individual and free.
"If a person or organization pretends to make an appointment for you to obtain a visa, they are lying to you.
If they ask you for money, they are robbing you. If you know such persons or organizations, name them," the ambassador wrote.
