YEREVAN, July 22. /ARKA/. Nearly 150 million drams will be needed to replace the existing sodium streetlights in Yerevan with new energy-efficient LED lights, Deputy Mayor Levon Hovhannisyan reported on Monday./pp
The LED lights, with a color temperature of 3000 Kelvin, are expected to provide a 70% saving in electricity consumption./pp
At a meeting on Monday, Hovhannisyan proposed presenting the results of the tender for acquiring these lights and, if necessary, directing relevant instructions to Yerevan's financial management./pp

To date, more than 6,400 energy-efficient LED lights have been installed on Yerevan's streets. By the end of the year, this number is expected to reach 12,000. The city's street lighting modernization program is being implemented in cooperation with the UN./p br br
