The year 2024 has been quite exciting for Diljit Dosanjh. The actor-singer received a lot of love for his performance in Imtiaz Ali's Amar Singh Chamkila. The Netflix film also stars Parineeti Chopra in the lead role. Furthermore, Diljit has been doing several tours in the country and worldwide. Currently, he is touring for his Dil-Luminati concerts in Canada. The singer's show is getting houseful in no time. Amidst all this, LA entrepreneur Rajat Batta has accused the singer of non-payment issues. For more TV news and Entertainment News updates, follow BollywoodLife on WhatsApp.
Rajat Batta took to his Instagram to share a long post in which he posted that Diljit Dosanjh has not paid the Desi dancers who performed in the background during the concert. In his post, Batta wrote, "All of the Desi dancers on Diljit's Dil-Luminati Tour were not paid and were just expected to perform for free." Rajat was really disappointed to see someone as talented as Diljit cutting corners by taking advantage of the Desi Dancer industry. He said that while everyone is happy about Diljit's success, it's not right that his dancers were not paid and not included in the production budget. Rajat mentioned that Desi Dance has become a lifeblood for artists, and they play a significant part in the industry's ecosystem.
After Rajat Batta's post, a few dancers shared a post about how they are grateful to be performing for Diljit Dosanjh at the Dil-Luminati concert. Preet Chahal shared that from the initial contact to the final performance, the Good Newwz actor and his team treated them with great respect and professionalism. He mentioned that the experience was a significant celebration of their hard work, bringing them global recognition and immense pride. Preet also stated that the love they received from Diljit is something they will always cherish.
Preet expressed that, for him and others, performing alongside Diljit Dosanjh was a priceless opportunity. Being on a global stage for the concert with him allowed them to showcase their Punjabi culture, which allowed us to showcase our Punjabi culture. "His extraordinary achievements in selling out multiple arenas and stadiums have placed Punjabis firmly on the map, creating opportunities that once seemed beyond reach," claimed the post.
Diljit Dosanjh has not responded to any of these accusations. Fans are waiting for the Udta Punjab actor to share his side in the matter too.
