Soldier 2 Update: Will Bobby Deol & Preity Zinta Reunite?
In the past, Bobby Deol showed his interest in a sequel to his 1998 action thriller film. The Animal star even said that he wants Ramesh Taurani to back the sequel if it happens. In an interview with News18, Taurani was asked if he plans to make the second part. The producer told the portal that they are definitely making Soldier 2 and the shooting will start next year.
In the same interview, Ramesh Taurani was asked if he would cast Bobby Deol and Preity Zinta as the lead cast in the sequel as well. The producer answered that they aren't sure about the casting yet. It all depends on the new story and then they will decide whether Bobby and Preity will be a part of the sequel or not.
Recently, Ramesh Taurani backed the sequel to 2003 film Ishq Vishk. The sequel was titled Ishq Vishk Rebound and stars Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan and Naila Grrewal. The first movie stars Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao, and Shenaz Treasury. Talking about Bobby Deol, the actor's last theatrical release was Animal, in which he played the villain. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the action film also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Triptii Dimri. Bobby received immense appreciation for this ruthless portrayal of the villain against Ranbir. The actor will reportedly play a baddie again in YRF's spy thriller Alpha. It is YRF's first female-led spy movie and stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari.
