Uber to raise new round at valuation of $62.5 billion, Bloomberg reports
Uber is planning to raise a new funding round of up to $2.1 billion at a valuation of $62.5 billion, according to Bloomberg. So far, investors in the round include Tiger Global Management, which has also invested in international Uber rivals Didi Kuaidi and Ola, as well as T. Rowe Price, Bloomberg reports. Bloomberg cited anonymous sources in saying that Uber had filed paperwork for the funding round, and was telling investors that its annual run rate was $10 billion. Before this round, Uber had a valuation of $51 billion, giving it the largest valuation of the 131 private companies with a valuation of $1 billion or more, according to The Wall Street Journal.
