ArmInfo.The already traditional "Taraz Fest" (festival of national dress) will be held in the Armenian capital on August 10-11 this year. According to the press service of the Tourism Committee, the event is being held in Armenia for the 6th time. This year the festival will be located on the territory of Victory Park.
"Taraz Fest" is held with the aim of popularizing, presenting and developing national traditions, culture and attire for both residents and guests of the capital.
As a rule, representatives of national minorities also take part in the festival. The first part of the event will include an exhibition-fair of Armenian craftsmen, a show-competition between young designers, national games, educational and entertainment programs. As part of the second part, a display of national clothing is expected. In particular, individual clothing collections from the Teryan Cultural Center, local and international Armenian designers will be presented. "Taraz Fest" is held with the support of the Tourism Committee.
