Every where you turn on Lagos roads, the Toyota is the ubiquitous brand. Why is the car so popular among Lagosians especially the youth population?

This is just my observation. I may be wrong. What is this craze about Toyota Camry by Lagosians especially the youth population? Everywhere you turn on Lagos roads, it is Camry of all shapes and sizes and make. How did I discover Lagosians love for Camry?

A friend was window shopping for his first car. The first advice he got was, ‘’why don’t you get a Camry? I have heard that many times before. And my response has always been, why Camry? I still need an answer. Why must I buy a Camry?
A Camry car is said to be rugged for Nigerian bad roads
What is the difference between a Camry and all other cars? Mind you there are other brands of effective cars. So why the fixation on Toyota Camry? But I also recognize that demand for Camry may have to do with the price.
An average Camry 199 car can go as low as N900,000 while the Nigerian used type can lower. A Toyota 2002 and 2004 Camry is sold for over a million naira.

So no matter where the pendulum swings, any brand of Camry is still affordable any day. I have also heard that a Camry car is fuel efficient and that the parts are cheap and easily accessible.

If these points above are true, then I see the reason why Lagosians and young people have fallen in love with the Camry brand.
