Brussels (dpa) - A Belgian judge ordered two people to be kept under arrest Thursday as part of the investigation into the November 13 terrorist attacks in Paris, including a man who was detained as he prepared to board a flight to Morocco.A total of eight people have now been placed under arrest in Belgium in connection with the Paris attacks, the Belga news agency wrote.A 20-year-old Frenchman living in the Brussels neighbourhood of Molenbeek, identified only as Samir Z, was detained at the Brussels airport in the early morning hours of Sunday as he was about to board the Morocco-bound plane, Belgian prosecutors said in a statement.He is suspected of having attempted twice this year to leave for Syria and is an acquaintance of Bilal Hadfi, an attacker who blew himself up near the Stade de France football stadium during the Paris shootings and bombings.Also on Sunday, police took into custody 28-year-old Pierre N as part of searches in Molenbeek, the Brussels neighbourhood where some of the Paris attackers lived. He is of African origin, Belga wrote.A pretrial judge decided on Thursday to keep both men under arrest on charges of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization, prosecutors said.
