ArmInfo.Baku has not yet responded to Yerevan's proposal to create a joint mechanism for investigating incidents on the border. Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan stated this on June 26 in a conversation with journalists.
According to him, Armenia is concerned about disinformation disseminated by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense about alleged violations of the ceasefire by Armenia. "It is obvious that there were no steps to escalate the situation on the Armenian side. We are concerned about the spread of such fake news. As a solution to the problem, we proposed that Azerbaijan create a joint investigation mechanism between the relevant departments," Grigoryan noted.
On June 15, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan proposed to Azerbaijan to form a bilateral mechanism to investigate ceasefire violations on the border of the two countries. On June 22, the office of the Prime Minister of Armenia stated that Yerevan, through diplomatic channels, invited Azerbaijan to begin implementing a bilateral mechanism for investigating cases of ceasefire violations, but the reaction from Baku was zero.
