The night at the Liberty Square in Yerevan was calm, as the Police did not prevent the opposition rally. Nevertheless, the protesters were not let to set tents in the square.
Vice Chairman of Heritage Party Armen Martirosyan said more than 20 people stayed at the square overnight. New Armenia leaders will give a news conference in the afternoon, as it was reported earlier. The joint rally of the Armenian National Congress and People's Party of Armenia will take place at 5:00pm.
To recall, round-the-clock actions of protests started after the large-scale rally on December 1. The rallies will last till Dec 6, the day of the constitutional referendum. Zhirayr Sefilyan, the head of New Armenia Front of Public Salvation Headquarters says the protests gave a start to the process of power change. He said New Armenia will not let the Constitutional referendum take place. The Police, in turn, call on the protesters to act within the law.
