Garde: Aston Villa won't let down frustrated fans
Aston Villa boss Remi Garde is adamant they will be better than last week's capitulation against Everton.
The Premier League bottom club are yet to win in three matches under their new French manager and are winless since the opening day.
Now they visit Southampton this weekend and Garde knows fans are fed up after the worst start ever in Premier League history with just five points from 14 games.
Garde said: “I still know they are very frustrated.
“But we won't let them down and we will try our best at Southampton of course.
“In the last game I think we missed a little bit of desire to win the ball infront of our box.
“It cost us a few goals in the past games.
“The desire to win the ball was not enough, we have to work hard on that altogether, not only the defensive players but as a team.
“We have to give more protection to our goal."
