ArmInfo. The small group of people ruling in Armenia is ready to do anything for the sake of money and maintaining power. The events of June 12 are evidence of this. The leader of the protest movement "Tavush in the Name of the Motherland," Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, announced this at a press conference on June 19.
According to him, it was this day, June 12, that became the watershed that divided the people and this group of people. After those events, the opposition movement entered a stage of regrouping its forces to achieve the success of the popular movement. As a result, the protesters' struggle will become more inclusive and broader. At the same time, the content of the struggle will remain the same, namely, the removal of the current RA government from power.
As the archbishop emphasized, the fight against the current government was the result of an illegal and criminal reality, when an attack occurred on the villages of Kirants, Voskepar and Baganis in the Tavush region. As a result, as Galstanyan noted, in contrast to all laws and international principles, in the complete absence of any security guarantees, unconstitutional actions were carried out. "In essence, there was no delimitation and demarcation of borders; the surrender of the homeland to Azerbaijan under conditions of coercion took place and is taking place," the archbishop said, adding that the authorities in their actions will not be limited to the Tavush region alone, they will extend to the entire territory of Armenia. "They are already talking about the regions of Gegharkunik and Syunik regions, voices are increasingly being heard about the transfer of the village of Tigranashen, the so-called enclaves of the Tavush region, to the control of Baku. In other words, the problem was never of a local nature, and all attempts to transfer the matter to the local field pursued only one goal - transfer responsibility to the local population," Galstanyan emphasized.
He added that the "Tavush in the name of the Motherland" movement from the very beginning set itself the task of opposing the policy of lies, since the greater the scale of lies, the more the Motherland decreases in size. The struggle of the movement after the regrouping will continue on a much larger scale, in which everyone will become witnesses and participants.
"They are ready to do anything for the sake of their well-being, for them human life has absolutely no meaning, they will do anything, including bloodshed. I did not fully believe in this possibility, but their use of fragmentation shells on June 12 only confirms what was said," said the leader of the movement.
On June 12, during clashes between law enforcement officers and protesters, the police used flash-noise grenades, as a result of which 101 people were injured, including 18 police officers.
In mid-April, the missions of Armenia and Azerbaijan on the delimitation of the state border, following the meeting, issued a joint press release, which states that the delimitation of borders in the areas near the Armenian village of Baganis, Azerbaijani Baganis Ayrim, Armenian Voskepar, Azerbaijani Ashagi Askipara was previously agreed upon , Armenian Kirants, Azerbaijani Kheyrimli, Armenian Berkaber, Azerbaijani Gyzylgadzhili. In fact, this means the transfer of four villages to the control of Azerbaijan.
