ArmInfo. On the day of the summer solstice, June 21, a music festival will be held in Goris, initiated by the Embassy of France in Armenia and the French University in Arme nia. France has been holding this event since 1982 and during its forty-year history, the festival has crossed borders and turned into a truly international event that has covered 5 continents, 120 countries, and more than 1,000 cities. On this day, concerts are held with the participation of both professional and amateur musicians.
Armenia has been celebrating the music festival for 17 years in a row. This year the event will take place in Goris, on Grigor Tatevatsi Square, at 19:00, with the participation of 2 new leading Armenian bands Dialog Music Project and Hogh Artun.
The founder of Dialog Music Project is trumpeter Tigran Suchyan. The band's music will take listeners on a musical journey, where jazz, hip-hop and urban folklore meet to create music rich in movement, rhythm and colors.
The music of Hogh Artun is a combination of traditional motifs with electronic music, which brings freshness and depth to Armenian musical art.
