YEREVAN, 18 June. /ARKA/. Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan received U.S. State Department Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs Sarah Morgenthau in Yerevan on Tuesday./pp
Papoyan noted that Armenia highly appreciates the active support of the United States in establishing lasting peace in the region, as well as preserving Armenia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, the press service of the Economy Ministry reported./pp
Morgenthau, in turn, reiterated the readiness of the United States to consider new economic opportunities in relations with Armenia and expand cooperation, as well as to assist in the restoration of infrastructure affected by the flooding in northern Armenia on 25-26 May./pp
The interlocutors discussed trade and economic cooperation, diversification of Armenia's exports and considering in that context the American continent as a new export market, as well as the development of Armenia's export strategy with the assistance of USAID, which is currently under active discussion./pp
