San Bernardino mass shooting deadliest in U.S. since Newtown
The attack at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, California, that left at least 14 people dead Wednesday morning, is the deadliest mass shooting in the United States since 27 people, including 20 children, were killed in Newtown, Connecticut, in December 2012.
Two shooting suspects were killed Wednesday afternoon following a police pursuit; San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan said a possible third suspect was detained after being spotted running away from the scene. At least 17 people were wounded in the attack, which took place during a holiday party in a conference room.
