Kartik Aaryan starrer Chandu Champion has been released and it is a sports biopic, based on the life of India's first Paralympics gold medalist Murlikant Petkar. The film is directed by filmmaker Kabir Khan who is known for his works including Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Ek Tha Tiger. Chandu Champion has received positive reviews from audiences as well as critics. Fans lauded Kartik's hard work and his body transformation is quite shocking.

According to early estimates shared by industry tracking website Sacnilk, Chandu Champion has minted Rs 4.75 crore on its opening day. Well, this is one of the lowest openings for Kartik post-pandemic. Kartik's 2015 Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 was considered a blockbuster hit. Satyaprem Ki Katha earned Rs 8.25 crore post-pandemic and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 earned Rs 14.11 crore on its opening day.
Chandu Champion has an overall occupancy of 16.84 percent, but the tickets were sold at Rs 150 on Friday. The film continues to run in the lowest opening, while Kabir Khan's 83 opened with Rs 12.64 crore. On the work front, Kartik will next be seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and the film will also star Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri and others.
