"Mojave" had a lot of promise on paper. The film is the sophomore directing effort for screenwriter William Monahan ("The Departed," "The Gambler"), who managed to land two actors firmly on the rise with Oscar Isaac and Garrett Hedlund to star. Unfortunately, the movie premiered without much fanfare earlier this year at the Tribeca Film Festival where it was met with middling response (here's our review), and now it's coming to cinemas in about a month, but to little fanfare.
