ArmInfo. There are no foreign representation in the sovereign territory of Armenia, in the part that has already been delimited. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated on June 12 during the government hour in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, answering a question from Garnik Danielyan, an MP from the opposition faction. The MP, in particular, raised the issue of dividing some villages in the Tavush region into two parts as a result of delimitation and demarcation, and the school in the village of Kirants was located 50 meters from the positions of enemy villages.

In response, the Prime Minister once again demonstrated a map, which, according to him, shows the de jure state borders of the country, and one of these sections passes in the area of the village of Kirants exactly where it is marked on the map. "The territory of the country is not determined by the school, it is determined by recognized state borders,"  the head of government emphasized, pointing to the location of the Khor Virap monastery, which is located just a few meters from the Turkish border.

Answering Danielyan's question about why servicemen receive the rank of general if all they do is surrender positions, the Prime Minister emphasized that these ranks are awarded for fixing and protecting the sovereign territories of Armenia. He also denied the assertions attributed to him that tree planting can solve security problems. "I just said that it is psychologically difficult to observe the adjacent territory where local residents used to live, and I just suggested obscure this view by planting trees. The country's borders are not defined by trees, they are fixed on the basis of the delimitation process," Pashinyan emphasized, adding that the village of Kirants is safer today than ever.
