It seems that even the actors of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” can’t contain their excitement about the new film — Daisy Ridley revealed that she was moved to tears after she watched the film for the first time.
“I came out [after the movie] and was like, ‘Yeah, I’m cool,'” Ridley said on Tuesday’s “Good Morning America.” “And then in the car I was like [she makes a crying face] the whole way, and then the whole way home — a 10-hour journey.”
In fact, the 23-year-old said she “was quite overwhelmed” watching the next film in the saga.

“It’s the first time I’ve ever really seen myself do something,” she explained.
Ridley’s costar John Boyega also appeared on “GMA” with Ridley, and told fans his impressions of the film.
“It’s so good,” he said. “It is SO good. This is a great reminder that ‘Star Wars’ is back after so long, and it’s a great balance between the new generation and the old. Full of action, full of passion, and it’s quite emotional. I enjoyed it.”

Days after J.J. Abrams said he wanted to have “The Force Awakens” attract more girl fans, given that “Star Wars” previously has had a predominantly male fan base, Ridley and Boyega talked about the significance of having a female lead in the film.
“It’s really exciting,” said Ridley. “The way I think about it is, if I had a little sister I would be so pleased for her to see the film.”
