The state visit of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is historic and will surely strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation, Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh said as he met with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Ulaanbaatar, BelTA has learned. “It is gratifying to remember that some 30 years ago you visited our country at the very historical moment when diplomatic relations were established between our countries [in 1992 Aleksandr Lukashenko visited Mongolia as an MP]. Your state visit is the first visit of a Belarusian head of state to our country. The visit will open a new page in the good and trusting relations between our peoples. It is a historic visit that will strengthen our relations and cooperation,” the president of Mongolia said. He took note of traditionally friendly relations between Belarus and Mongolia and steadily intensifying mutual visits at various levels. The president also emphasized that the true relations of cooperation between the Mongolian and Belarusian peoples had started long before the diplomatic relations were established between the two countries.
