Actor Shekhar Suman who is currently seen basking in the glory of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's web series Heeramandi joined Bhartiya Janta Party earlier this month. Well, since the news came out, everyone thought that he and Kangana Ranaut were in the same political party. For the uninitiated, Shekhar's son Adhyayan Suman and Kangana were in a relationship, but the two parted ways on a bitter note. Since then the family has maintained distance from Kangana.

Now, Shekhar Suman who has joined BJP as a politician is ready to mend his relationship with Kangana Ranaut. Yes, you read that right! Kangana has also joined the BJP as a Lok Sabha member from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. Shekhar said that he is ready to let go of the bitterness for the greater good. He even added that the two will work in tandem and there is no ill will or no rancour. He even said that let's be more human rather than just holding on to the past.
Shekhar continued saying that things do happen in the heat of the moment and then people go about doing their jobs. He said that it's better to forget the past. Shekhar said that it is high time everyone concerned should let go of what has happened and come together for a bigger cause and purpose which is better for the country.
He even said that if need arises, then friends, enemies and people who once hated each other, do come back together for a common goal. He said that life always doesn't move on with a smooth line and all are grown-ups and mature people. Shekhar also said that there is always a way around a problem and he can be a bridge. He even said that he will make either of them understand that you are not totally right and you are not totally wrong.
In Heeramandi, Shekhar played the role of a nawab and his character received praise. Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Sharmin Segal, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Adhyayan Suman, Fardeen Khan, Farida Jalal, Shruti Sharma, Taha Shah Badussha and others were seen in Heeramandi.
