She recently shared some pictures on social media revealing about her meeting with Ghulam Ali, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Fawad Khan. In her recent interview, she also spoke about her visit and that she was welcomed with open arms.

In an interview with Zoom, Mumtaz revealed about the great time she had in Pakistan. She mentioned that the artistes across the border are no different than any of us. She mentioned that wherever she went, people came forward to shower her with love, gifts. She was there with her sister. Mumtaz revealed that people knew about her films and songs. Talking about the meeting with top Pakistani celebrities, Mumtaz revealed that Fawad Khan booked the entire restaurant for her. She revealed that it was just her, Fawad Khan, his wife and his kids. Mumtaz also shared that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan sang for her even though he was not feeling well. On Instagram, Mumtaz has shared pictures with everyone including Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Fawad Khan and Ghulam Ali.
In the same interview, Mumtaz mentioned that the ban of Pakistani artistes working in India should be lifted as they should also get work opportunities. She said, "They should be allowed to come and work here. They are talented. I agree we have no dearth of talent in the Mumbai film industry. Lekin unhe bhi mauka milna chahiye (But they should also get work opportunities in Bollywood)." It was after Uri attacks in 2016 that India imposed ban on Pakistani artistes from working in India.
