Aishwarya Rai Bachchan took a good break after the burn of Aaradhya Bachchan and later chose to do very limited films, her one film after Aaradhya that made headlines was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which was released in 2016 where she was paired opposite Ranbir Kapoor and her bold avatar left the audiences jaw dropped. Aishwarya in one of her interviews had mentioned she is deliberately doing fewer films and prioritising daughter Aaradhya. Abhishek often lauds her as a perfect mother and thanks her for always being there. in his interview with ETimes, Abhishek had said, "Thankfully, her mother has seamlessly eased her into this world. We didn't make it into a 'big thing'. It was very normal." Hailing Aishwarya for letting him work, he added, "She allows me to go out and make my films and she takes care of Aaradhya."
