Lazio president Claudio Lotito has broken his silence on the ongoing saga surrounding player Luis Alberto in an interview with Adnkronos. In a candid conversation, Lotito expressed his perspective regarding the player’s future, who has recently been hinting at a departure.
“Luis Alberto probably wants to leave for free”, says Lotito, emphasizing the contractual commitment of the Spanish playmaker to Lazio. “But no, he can’t simply walk out as he has a four-year contract. He’s a registered player.”
Lotito’s statements clearly indicate that any premature exit for Alberto won’t be straightforward. The Spanish international will need to honour his contract or find a way to negotiate its termination mutually.
