MG Motor India has updated prices for the popular MG Hector lineup and has also introduced two enticing trims – Shine Pro and Select Pro
The MG Hector is now available at an attractive Rs 14 lakh. This move, a Rs 95,000 reduction from the previous pricing, marks the second price cut for the Hector in the last six months.
The newly introduced Shine Pro trim is priced at Rs 16 lakh, it not only replaces the existing Shine variant but also introduces a host of additional features.
Expect upgrades such as LED Daytime Running Lamps, LED projector headlights, sequential LED turn indicators, a 14-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a single-pane sunroof, among others.
What’s more, the petrol variants of the Shine Pro come at a more affordable price by up to Rs 44,000 compared to the outgoing Shine petrol.
Positioned above the Shine Pro, the all-new Select Pro trim replaces the Smart variant and adds a touch of luxury to the MG Hector lineup.
Priced from Rs 17.30 lakh, it boasts larger 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, interior LED reading lights, connected car features, and an 8-speaker sound system with woofer and amplifier.
While the petrol variants see a price increase by up to Rs 25,000 over the outgoing Smart petrol, the diesel variant is priced Rs 20,000 higher.

The introduction of the Select Pro trim extends beyond the standard Hector to the 7-seater Hector Plus. Replacing the Smart trim, it offers additional features, and prices see a moderate increase by Rs 25,000 for petrol variants and Rs 20,000 for diesel variants.
Both the MG Hector and Hector Plus share robust powertrain options, with a 143hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine.
Positioned against competitors like the Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass, Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, and Mahindra XUV700, the MG Hector lineup stands out for its comprehensive features, competitive pricing, and consistent efforts to meet the evolving needs of the Indian consumer.
