ArmInfo.A plane from Argentina arrived in Yerevan with humanitarian aid for Artsakh people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia as a result of the latest Azerbaijani aggression and ethnic cleansing.
According to the press service of the Argentine Embassy in Armenia, the board of the Argentine public organization "Solider" with 11 tons of humanitarian aid collected in Argentina for the internally displaced persons of Nagorno-Karabakh landed in Yerevan at 22:30 p.m. local time. It was delivered by volunteers of the White Helmets of the Argentine Foreign Ministry.
Juan B. Scartascini del R¡o, Charge d'Affires at the Embassy of Argentina in Yerevan, Embassy staff, representatives of Armenia's foreign office, Ministry of the Interior and charities managed by the Armenian Diaspora hosted the plane at the airport.
The cargo with about 500 thousand items of goods (almost half a million dollars - fiscal value) is the most important cargo transported by the White Helmets in recent times. This is the second plane in history sent to Yerevan (the first was in 1988 after the Spitak earthquake).
The 7 White Helmets mission will remain in the country for 10 days in collaboration with the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs to help with the management, logistics and distribution of humanitarian aid sent to help those most in need deported from Nagorno-Karabakh.
