The mayor of Dallas has SWITCHED his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican saying “American cities need Republicans!”

Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson made a bombshell announcement, he has left the Democrat party and is now a Republican.
He cited what we all know to be true, “the future of America’s great urban centers depends on the willingness of the nation’s mayors to champion law and order and practice fiscal conservatism.”
He also correctly noted that American cities need Republicans!
Now this is a seismic shift because this announcement makes the Dallas mayor the only Republican among the mayors of the 10 most populous cities in the country.
Texas might seem like a deep red conservative bastion but it’s been getting bluer and bluer. This switch up is a welcome change and hopefully an omen of what is to come.
Democrats on the national level might not care about crime, lawlessness and homelessness, but at the local level they’ll need to answer for it. Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson saw the writing on the wall and jumped the blue ship before it took him down with it.
Welcome to the red team, Mayor. Now let’s get to work!
