Armenia generated about 5.9 billion kWh of electricity in the first eight months of 2022, which is 16.6% more than in the same period of 2021, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
YEREVAN, October 6. /ARKA/. Armenia generated about 5.9 billion kWh of electricity in the first eight months of 2022, which is 16.6% more than in the same period of 2021, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
Over 2.5 billion kWh of power were generated by thermal power plants (22.8% increase), about 1.5 billion kWh - by hydroelectric power plants (10.9% decrease), around 1.7 billion kWh by the nuclear power plant (36.6% increase).
Wind power plants produced 1.3 million kWh of electricity (54.6% growth), and solar power plants 157.6 million kWh (2.7 times growth). -0-
