Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan commended the city police for its successful buy-bust operation that yielded P1,360,000 worth of alleged shabu on Thursday, July 14.
“Kinikilala at nagpapasalamat po tayo sa ating kapulisan. Tuloy-tuloy ang naging operasyon niyo laban sa ilegal na droga na ating iniatas sa simula pa lang ng ating administrasyon (We recognize and thank our city police. Your anti-illegal drug operations which we have mandated from the beginning of our administration, has been continuous),” Malapitan said.
The entrapment operation of the Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) resulted to the arrest of two suspects- Myka Ofalsa, 28; and Jomel Mang, 32; both from Caloocan City – along Blk. 4, Vista Homes, in Barangay 171 at around 11:50 p.m. on Thursday.
The CCPS said that its Station Drug Enforcent Unit (SDEU) recovered 200 grams of “shabu” valued at P1,360,000, a bamboo box, and a digital weighing scale.
The suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
The mayor reiterated that illegal drugs as well as other crimes will not be tolerated under his command.
“Walang puwang ang mga tulak sa Caloocan, huwag niyo na pong subukan dahil buong pwersa ng batas ang ating pakikilusin upang matiyak na mabubulok kayo sa kulungan (Caloocan has no room for drug pushers, don’t try anymore because we will mobilize the full force of the law to ensure that you will rot in jail),” he said.
