The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) in the National Capital Region recognized the Pasay City government for implementing Republic Act 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000).
The city government received a certificate of recognition during the Solid Waste Management Summit held at The Manila Hotel on July 14 and 15.
Pasay City Environment and Natural Resource Office (CENRO) supervising administrative officer RR Salvador, representing Mayor Emi Callixto-Rubiano, received the certificate of recognition from DENR-EMB-NCR Regional Director Michael Drake Matias.
Rubiano thanked the DENR-EMB and said her administration prioritized clean environment and the health of every resident.
She also said the clean environment is part of her HELP agenda, referring to health and housing, economic growth, education and environment, livelihood and lifestyle, peace and order, “palengke” (market) and “pamilya” (family).
