Power in the North and Central halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center, which hosts CES annually, has been out for close to an hour. First reports of the power outage began hitting Twitter from convention goers starting around 11:14AM PT, and as of the time of writing, the power is still out in Central Hall where companies like LG and Samsung are showing off their latest televisions, smart devices, and home appliances.
The outage affects hundreds of companies, many of which are small startups that paid thousands of dollars to have a presence here. This year’s CES seems to be marked by more chaos than usual, including unprecedented rain that shut down Google’s giant funhouse booth for a day. Here’s hoping the power comes back soon.
