BOSTON — Cedric Hankerson made a 3-pointer with 1:12 left to retake the lead and Boston University went on to a 73-69 victory over New Hampshire on Sunday.
Tanner Leissner sank two free throws to give UNH its first lead, 69-68, since early in the game but Hankerson replied with his 3-pointer. UNH was called for a charge and BU’s Eric Fanning drove to score with 13 seconds remaining.
The Terriers led 38-31 at halftime after shooting 50 percent then built their largest lead at 44-33 early in the second half.
