HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. — Cole Murray hit five 3-pointers to score 17 points, Carson Williams had 17 points and nine rebounds and Northern Kentucky pulled away in the second half to end Eastern Washington’s seven-game winning streak 70-48 on Sunday.
Lavone Holland II added 16 points for the Norse (8-3), who won their fifth straight.
Murray’s 3-pointer with 1:11 to go in the first half gave Northern Kentucky the lead for good, 26-24, as the Norse scored the last eight points of the half to lead 29-24.
