Late TD gives North Carolina 17-10 Shrine Bowl win
SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Jack Davidson’s touchdown pass to Thomas Hennigan with 20 seconds left helped North Carolina to a 17-10 win over South Carolina in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas.
The winning score was set up by a pass interference call on South Carolina that gave North Carolina a first down at the South Carolina 18.
South Carolina led for most of the game after forcing a fumble on North Carolina’s opening drive and getting a 33-yard field goal from Henis Dawson.
