Boko Haram insurgents have razed Wasada community in Askira/Uba local government area in southern Borno state, according to a vigilante source.

The insurgents, according to Sahara reporters, launched an attack on the village on Monday, November 14, at about 2pm, shooting sporadically abandon and killing at least two civilians in the attack.
A vigilante source who disclosed the attack to the online platform stated that the whole village was burnt down, with many civilians still missing.
He said livestock and food items were carted away by the terrorists.
“We received distress calls from our members in Wasada village, some of 30 kilometers from Uba, that they were under siege. We went there but nothing was left, as the village had been razed. We found two corpses lying on ground and many villagers with gunshot wounds,” he said.

The source his colleagues moved some of the villagers to Uba, adding that many of the villagers remain missing.
“I can tell you that many are still missing. Our men are on patrol, as we speak, in the hope that they could rescue more villagers,” he said.
Meanwhile, Boko Haram insurgents have killed yet another top Nigerian Army commander B.U. Umar, Premium Times reports.
The soldiers were said to be on their way to Yola in Adamawa state from Bita in Borno when they were ambushed. Premium Times says the full casualty scale from the attack is not yet clear.

He came out to assess the damage on the vehicle and Boko Haram opened fire and killed him in the process, a source told Premium Times.
