The National Prosecuting Authority's abandoning of its attempt to prosecute Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan for fraud and theft, announced by its head, Shaun Abrahams, yesterday has led to calls for Abrahams' firing and for a judicial commission of inquiry into the events leading up to Gordhan being charged.
