Femi Fani-Kayode, the former minister of aviation, has accused the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of illegaly detaining his wife Precious Chikwendu and 8-month-old son Aragorn on Monday, October 17.
However, Wilson Uwujaren, the commission’s spokesperson, has denied the arrest saying it wasn’t possible as the commision had no officers in Ado-Ekiti.
He also explained that the Access Bank account from which Mr Fani-Kayode’s wife tried to withdraw money had been flagged by the commission long ago.

In view of this fact anyone trying to withdraw cash from a flagged account has to be questioned.
This is exactly what police officers were trying to do to Mr. Fani-Kayode’s wife with the intent to release her on bail after questioning before Governor Fayose’s intervention.
Meanwhile, Nigerians took to social media to back Mr Kayode and his loved ones and express their anger with the arrest of a baby and his mom.
