Bolivia, Venezuela and Ecuador are recalling their ambassadors from Brazil in protest against what they said was a “coup against democracy” following a vote by Brazilian senators to impeach Dilma Rousseff. Former vice president Michel Temer, who has been exposed as an embassy informant for US intelligence, was sworn in Brazil’s new leader after the Senate voted to strip Rousseff of her presidential post. Brazil has now recalled its ambassadors from Venezuela, Ecuador and Bolivia after the three countries took the same step to demonstrate their opposition to the removal of Rousseff from office. RT reports: Venezuela condemned Rousseff’s impeachment saying it will not pursue relations with a government that stemmed from a “parliamentary coup d’etat.” Venezuela “has decided to definitively withdraw its ambassador in the Federal Republic of Brazil, and to freeze political and diplomatic relations with the government that emerged from this parliamentary coup,” the country’s foreign ministry said in a statement.
