Beware: These things are forbidden during Ramadan
– Sheik Yahya Al-Yolawi, Chief Imam of Area 10, Abuja has said during Ramadan, it is forbidden to kiss, hug or engage in acts that can provoke sexual desires
– He warned that God despises those who sin while engaging in fasting throughout the period of Ramadan
– He advised those fasting to avoid all kinds of unlawful actions, such as backbiting, obscenity and lies saying that their prayers would not be answered if they engaged in such acts
During Ramadan fast, Muslims are not supposed to engage in any act that could provoke sexual activity, Sheik Yahya Al-Yolawi, chief imam of Area 10, Abuja, has disclosed.

Al-Yolawi, while delivering his Juma’ah sermon on etiquette of Ramadan fast on Friday, advised husbands against kissing or embracing their wives with sexual desire while observing Ramadan fast.
He said this could affect their fasting.

The imam whose sermon was to call the attention of Muslims to how they could achieve maximum benefit by attracting divine reward during Ramadan, stressed the need for those in the religion to avoid watching phonographic movies and indulging in any behaviour that could lead to sexual arousal.
According to him, Prophet Mohammed said: “Whoever does not stop speaking falsehood and acting in accordance with it, Allah has no need of him giving up his food and drink.
“Among the things that can reduce one’s good deed and bring sins is to allow ourselves to be distracted by watching movies, sports, attending social gatherings and hanging around on the streets with evil people.

“Some people even greet the month with feelings of annoyance, thinking only of the pleasures that they will miss out for close to 30 days.”
He advised those fasting to avoid all kinds of unlawful actions, such as backbiting, obscenity and lies, otherwise their rewards might be lost.
Meanwhile, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has rejected the new dated fixed for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) 2016/17 Batch A (Stream II) orientation course with an argument that it is illegal to open the camp at the period of Ramadan.
