The Super Eagles of Nigeria have continued their superb run of form after their win over Mali on Friday May 27.
The Yusuf Salisu-led Eagles defeated Luxembourg 3 – 1 away from home today May 31.

Team returnee Brown Ideye opened the scoring in the 36th minute to put Nigeria in a comfortable position as both teams went into the break with the Eagles leading by a lone goal.
Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho who scored Nigeria’s winner against Mali found the back of the net in a spectacular fashion in the 69th minute to make it 2 – 0.
Luxembourg’s Vincent Thill pulled one back for the hosts, but Watford of England goal-banger Odion Ighalo put the game beyond the hosts two minutes into stoppage time, as Nigeria won the encounter 3 – 1.
Recall that the Super Eagles of Nigeria also managed a one goal win over the Eagles of Mali at the Stade Robert Dichon in Rouen, France on Friday May 27.
A Kelechi Iheanacho strike in the 77th minute gave Nigeria the much sought win over their West African neighbours.
Both international friendies were aimed at preparing the three-time African champions for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, which begins in October.
