Its population was young – 26 years old was the average age. There were 20 schools, 25 stores and 10 gyms in the Ukrainian soviet town of Pripyat in 1986, making it a comfortable and prestigious place to live. And all of that ended tragically for local residents after “Level 7 Event” – the Chernobyl nuclear Power plant disaster.
